JL Interior Design was born through Jolene Lindner’s lifelong passion for design, art and business. In high school she took college level architecture courses but decided to pursue a degree in business. She holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Portland and worked as a VP, Corporate Foreign Exchange Specialist at Wells Fargo on the currency trading floor. In 2008, Jolene took a leap of faith to follow her lifelong dream of pursuing a career in interior design and attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. Since graduating at the top of her class, Jolene has been fortunate to have worked at Orlando Diaz-Azcuy Design Associates and Martha Angus, Inc. in San Francisco, on both residential and commercial projects.
Jason Wong and Jolene met while studying interior design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and worked together at ODADA. Prior to that experience, Jason graduated with a degree in fine art from the University of Westminster in London, England. After moving back to California he became a graphic designer for 10 years, honing his project management and presentation skills before switching paths to study interior design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Since then, Jason has worked on high-end residential and commercial projects at Orlando Diaz-Azcuy Design Associates as well as more budget-friendly projects with Homepolish. Jason has a knack for juggling many projects at the same time and works for JL Interior Design on a part-time basis.
Jolene believes that the diverse background of each team member is an asset that allows for a broader depth of understanding the client. JL Interior Design creates a canvas that blends a new transitional style. The finished product is a space that thoughtfully interprets the client's input with JL Interior Design's vision of the space.
